Suge Knight Shot at Chris Brown’s Pre-VMA Party

SECOND UPDATE: A rep for Chris Brown issued the following statement regarding the incident — “Chris hosted an event in Los Angeles last night to celebrate the upcoming release of his album X, during which an incident occurred. This incident did not involve Chris; he was merely the host of the event. He has and will continue to cooperate with the investigation.”

UPDATE: An eyewitness has confirmed to ET that Suge Knight, former CEO of Death Row Records, was shot multiple times at Chris Brown’s pre-VMA party, and Knight was the target of the gunfire. The witness told ET that Knight was seen pacing inside the club and speaking with R&B and hip hop producer Irv Gotti. 1OAK co-owner Scott Sartiano ducked down before four shots rang out, our witness reports, but Chris Brown continued dancing, unaware of the shots fired. Knight dropped to the floor after being shot multiple times, then crawled out of the club, and reportedly said, “Put your guns up. Hide me. They are shooting at me.” Knight hid in a police car for 20 minutes until the ambulance arrived, according to the witness, who places the shooting at approximately 1:15 AM Sunday morning.

Our witness also shares details about one of the other victims. A young woman was shot, but is in stable condition. Our witness says that contrary to reports, she was not paralyzed.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department released the ages of the three victims. There are two male victims, 49 and 32 and a female, 19. They are expected to recover.

ET has also confirmed the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department responded to calls of shooting around 1:30 AM Sunday at 1OAK. Upon on arrival, 3 unnamed victims were injured. They were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

In an eerie example of history repeating itself, this isn’t the first time Knight has been shot at a pre-VMA party. In 2005, Knight was shot at Kanye West’s pre-VMA party. He was also with rap legend Tupac Shakur when Shakur was shot and killed at age 25 in 1996.

ET will continue to update as more details come in.

Shots were fired and multiple people were reportedly injured at a pre-VMA party hosted by Chris Brown Saturday night in West Hollywood, California. Brown wasn’t the only celeb in attendance, as numerous stars, reportedly including Justin Bieber, joined him at the party at swanky 1OAK nightclub. Witnesses told ABC News that four shots were heard.

Thomas Clark was at the 1OAK during the incident. He told ABC News, “It was scary. When a DJ gets on at a club like that- a high line club- and tells everyone to get the F out, it was scary… I was to the left of Chris Brown’s table. There was words exchanged. Someone confronted someone else. There was pushing. Right after that– it wasn’t very long, it certainly wasn’t going to be a fist fight. Guns were in house, and you hear the shots clears as day.”

British model Chloe Lloyd tweeted she and fellow model Simone Holtznagel hid in the bathroom.

Chris posted an Instagram video of himself at the event before the incident.

Video also surfaced of Chris driving away from the club.

Today, he posted this Tweet:

The LAPD is investigating.

Chris Brown is at the center of controversy now, but one month ago, he buried the hatchet with former adversary Drake at the ESPYs. Check it out in the video below.

U.S. Route 522

MORGAN COUNTY, W.Va. – West Virginia State Police is investigating a three car accident that killed a young girl and sent three others to the hospital Monday evening.
Troopers said the accident happened around 5:30 p.m. on U.S. Route 522, just four miles north of Berkeley Springs in Morgan County.  Police said a black Jeep was traveling north on Rt. 522 when the driver stopped in the middle of the lane to turn left onto a side road.  A silver car also traveling north drove to the left of this Jeep to pass it and that’s when it collided head-on with another car traveling southbound.

The car traveling north, which had three people inside, rolled over. Police said the front seat passenger, a 9-year-old girl, was pronounced dead on scene. The driver, identified as Walter Weaver, of Hagerstown, Md., was flown to Fairfax and back seat passenger was taken to Winchester Hospital.  Weaver was identified as the step-father of the two children inside the vehicle.

The driver of the second car was transported to Meritus Medical Center.

Police said the black Jeep left the scene when this happened. Troopers said they have limited information about the driver of the Jeep, and they are trying to track that car down.

By 8:30 p.m. the roadway reopened.

State police said Weaver is still at Fairfax Hospital at this time, but charges are pending against him.  They’re not disclosing the charges as they are currently working with prosecutors to get them filed.

Two killed on Aberdeenshire road

21 August 2014

By Ashleigh Barbour

Two people were killed last night in a horrific accident on the outskirts of an Aberdeenshire village.

The man and woman had been travelling on the A980 Banchory to Torphins country road near Glassel when the two-vehicle accident happened at around 7.15pm.

The pair had to be cut free from a silver Land Rover Freelander by firefighters after they collided with a silver Volkswagen Transporter van.

Last night, police confirmed that two people had died and that the van driver had sustained “non life threatening injuries”, but was taken to hospital as a precaution.

Collision investigators worked into the night to piece together what happened in the moments leading up to the accident.

Police officers blocked the road from the Raemoir House Hotel to the Camphill Filling Station for several hours, diverting motorists through Glassel.

One local councillor said he was “devastated” to hear what had happened.

Councillor Peter Argyle, who lives in the area, said he knew something bad had happened when emergency vehicles passed his house at nearby Stoneleigh, Torphins.

“I’m absolutely devastated to hear the news and my heart goes out to the family and friends of those involved,” he said.

“There are a couple of tricky bits to the road where drivers need to be careful.

“If anybody can help police with their inquiries, I would urge them to come forward so we can establish exactly what happened.”

In May 2010, Mark Scott – who was only 19 – died on the same road after his friend lost control while he sped along at more than 80mph.

The car they were travelling in failed to take a bend and crashed into a wall before overturning and landing in a field.

Mr Scott, 19, died instantly in the accident on the A980, about a mile west of the Raemoir House Hotel.

Jack Parkes later admitted causing death by dangerous driving, and was jailed for 32 months.

Last July, a young father was killed when his silver Honda Jazz collided with a blue Peugeot 407 on the A980 near Muir of Fowlis.

Darren Lindsay had been due to become a father when the tragic accident happened.

Meanwhile, emergency services also attended another two-vehicle accident in Fraserburgh’s Watermill Road last night.

The accident happened just after 10pm.

One casualty was treated at the scene, however their injuries are not believed to be serious.

A spokeswoman for the fire and rescue service confirmed that a crew attended to make the vehicles safe.

Carrollwood Day quarterback injured in car accident

Mon. August 18, 2014 | Kelly Parsons

Carrollwood Day starting quarterback Spencer Peek had surgery Monday after breaking several bones in a car accident, coach Lane McLaughlin confirmed.

Peek, a junior, was driving on the wet roads in his neighborhood Sunday, McLaughlin said, when he hydroplaned and ran off the road. McLaughlin said Peek was alert when he visited him.

Peek was the backup quarterback for the Patriots last season, completing the only pass he attempted for 42 yards. He also had a rushing touchdown and 11 tackles on defense. Peek missed the spring game because of an injury, McLaughlin said, and was looking forward to finally taking over the starting job.

“It’s a shame,” McLaughlin said. “He’s lucky to be alive. He’ll recover, and he’ll be back. It’s just a tough thing to happen.”

Carrollwood Day will play a preseason game against Vero Beach St. Edward’s on Friday. McLaughlin said he’s not yet sure who will start at quarterback.

$300M Mall at Bay Plaza opens for business in the Bronx

Posted 1:58 PM, August 14, 2014, by

BAYCHESTER, the Bronx (PIX11) — Community leaders gathered Thursday morning to welcome the public to the new Mall at Bay Plaza in the Bronx — the first enclosed, suburban-style mall to open in the city in 40 years.

The 780,000-square-foot mall in Baychester has been in the works for two years, costing $300 million.

Despite the large price tag, officials are hoping the project will bring something more valuable: 1,800 jobs and overall economic growth in the Bronx.

“Most importantly, I am happy that Bronxites will fill so many of the jobs created by this project,” Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. said. “We are putting our people back to work … as we rebuild and rebrand the ‘New Bronx.”

Community leaders including Diaz and the Governor’s Unemployment Strikeforce will help match candidates to positions at the new mall.

More than 100 stores will accompany the pre-existing JC Penney, including a new Macy’s, H&M, Michael Kors, Ulta, Kay Jewelers and Gap.

The mall features three levels with free WiFi for shoppers, a 1,800-car parking garage, restaurants, a gym and a movie theater. Bus stops and other public transportation are located near the mall.

Sam Shalem, the CEO of Prestige Properties, told the Bronx Times that 71 percent of the mall is open, and the rest should be occupied by summer 2015.
